The K-pop group aespa (에스파, エスパ) is making waves in the Korean music scene with their explosive new song 'Supernova.'

aespa, composed of Karina, Winter, Giselle, and Ningning, pre-released 'Supernova,' one of the double title tracks from their first full-length album 'Armageddon,' on the 13th. 

'Supernova' likens the beginning of a new era to the opening of a portal to another dimension, capturing the massive internal explosion with aespa’s unique 'metallic' sound.

Upon its release on the 27th, aespa's full-length album 'Armageddon' quickly soared to the top of the iTunes Top Albums charts in 25 countries worldwide, while also claiming the top spot on the Worldwide iTunes Albums chart. The title track 'Armageddon' secured spots within the top 10 on major domestic music charts like Melon, Bugs, and Genie, and other tracks from the album also entered the TOP100, indicating significant interest.

'Supernova' surpassed 18 million cumulative streams on the world's largest audio and music streaming platform Spotify as of the 22nd, and currently (as of the 28th) has surpassed 33 million streams.

On the 22nd, 'Supernova' topped the Melon TOP100 and HOT100 charts in Korea, achieving first place on the daily chart (as of May 20). The song also held the number one spot on the Bugs chart for eight consecutive days post-release. Additionally, 'Supernova' dominated all major domestic music charts, including Flo and Genie, maintaining its high popularity.
