EXO(엑소) members Chen(첸), Baekhyun(백현), and Xiumin(시우민) collectively known as EXO-CBX(첸백시), have accused SM Entertainment of demanding an unfair 10% of their personal earnings.

Their attorney, Lee Jae-hak, held an urgent press conference on the 10th at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul, stating that SM Entertainment has not honored the previously agreed-upon 5.5% distribution fee for albums and music streams from last year.

Attorney Lee explained that SM's Chief A&R Officer (CAO) Lee Sung-soo had verbally promised Cha Ga-won, chairman of I&B100's parent company One Hundred, that EXO-CBX would receive a 5.5% distribution fee from the distributor, Kakao. Trusting this assurance, they signed an agreement in June last year.

However, SM Entertainment has allegedly failed to uphold this agreement, prompting EXO-CBX to consider filing criminal charges. Lee demanded that SM fulfill their obligation to guarantee the 5.5% distribution fee for albums and music streams and provide detailed settlement records. Additionally, he urged SM to cease requesting 10% of the artists' personal earnings from solo albums, concerts, and advertisements.

Cha Ga-won, who attended the press conference, denied allegations of tampering and emphasized that his relationship with EXO-CBX is "more than family."
