NewJeans (뉴진스) is creating a sensation in Japan, captivating a crowd of approximately 91,000 at Tokyo Dome.

On June 26-27, NewJeans (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, Hyein) successfully held their fan meeting 'Bunnies Camp 2024 Tokyo Dome' at the iconic Tokyo Dome. All tickets were sold out well in advance, leading to the opening of restricted view seats to accommodate the enthusiastic crowd. This event marked their entry into Tokyo Dome just 1 year and 11 months after their debut, setting a record for the shortest time for an overseas artist to perform there, and came just 5 days after the release of their Japanese debut single ‘Supernatural’.

The fan meeting was more than just an event; it was a musical festival. With a rich setlist of over 20 songs, a mix of DJ and band performances, and special guest appearances, the 150-minute show was a feast for the senses. Fans stood up and waved their light sticks as producer 250 started the opening DJ set, eagerly awaiting NewJeans' arrival. When the five members appeared singing their debut song 'Attention', the stadium erupted with cheers. Hits like 'Hype Boy', 'Ditto', 'OMG', 'Super Shy', and 'ETA' followed, leading to an emotional reaction from some members.

NewJeans performed all their songs live, backed by top-tier session musicians including Kazuki Arai from the renowned Japanese band King Gnu. Their powerful vocals resonated through the band’s sounds, making a strong impact on the fans.

Special guests also stole the spotlight. Japanese duo YOASOBI and singer-songwriter Rina Sawayama delivered stunning performances with newly arranged versions of their songs, creating fresh synergy with NewJeans that thrilled the audience.

One of the highlights was the members' solo stages, where they showcased various talents through dance, original compositions, and unreleased tracks. Hanni’s cover of Seiko Matsuda’s 'Blue Coral Reef' evoked nostalgia and trended online after the performance. Minji's rendition of Boundy's 'Mue' highlighted her unique vocal tone, Danielle's original song 'Butterflies' displayed her distinctive sensibility, Haerin’s solo dance performance was mesmerizing, and Hyein’s cover of Mariya Takeuchi’s 'Plastic Love' left a lasting impression on the audience.

NewJeans also made sure to connect with their fans (Bunnies) throughout the event. During their performance of 'OMG', they rode a cart around the venue to get closer to fans and make eye contact. In their final song 'ASAP', they promised to meet their fans again soon, strengthening the bond between them.

The members expressed their heartfelt emotions in Korean, Japanese, and English. Minji said, "It's like a dream to stand on such a big stage and meet so many Bunnies. I'm really touched." Hanni shared, "I felt nervous and excited preparing for this stage. I want to enjoy this moment with Bunnies for a long time." Danielle added, "A lot of effort and passion went into this Bunnies Camp, and the love we received feels unreal. I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep tonight." Haerin said, "Thanks to Bunnies, we could create precious memories on stage. I feel very lucky." Hyein expressed, "I'm so happy to see Bunnies after such a long time. You all shine brighter than anyone else."
