Busan (부산), the hometown of BTS (방탄소년단) members Jimin (지민) and Jungkook (정국), is a popular destination for ARMYs, second only to Seoul. This city is home to a café run by Jimin's father, known among fans as a 'BTS pilgrimage site  (방탄 성지).'

Among the family-run establishments linked to BTS, there are Jin’s brother's Japanese restaurant 'Ossu Seiromushi(오쓰 세이로무시)' in Seoul and Jimin's father's café 'MAGNATE(메그네이트)' in Busan.

Suga's parents used to run a sundae soup (순대국밥 blood sausage soup) restaurant in Daegu (대구), and his brother operated a café in Jeju, though these are no longer in business.

Today, we introduce 'MAGNATE,' Jimin's father's café, a must-visit spot for ARMYs in Busan.

Located in Daeyeon-dong, Nam-gu, Busan, the café boasts a spacious interior. Inside, you will find an array of gifts left by fans, including potted plants, bouquets, photos, fan art, and letters. Jimin's father cherishes these tokens of affection and has them all on display.

The café is filled with various attractions. It showcases drawings of Jimin by fans, hats he has worn, and pop art pieces that were exhibited in France.

Notably, the café features a signed copy of Jimin's first album 'FACE' and a moon jar (달항아리) by ceramic artist Kim Jin-yang (김진량), which draws attention. Korean moon jars have recently gained popularity, with even RM and Bill Gates collecting similar items.

The café also sells various goods featuring an adorable cat character, such as mugs, hats, t-shirts, eco bags, tumblers, and soju glasses. This cat character is reminiscent of the calico cat (삼색고양이) from Jimin's solo song 'Serendipity' from BTS's "LOVE YOURSELF 承 Her."

Additionally, the goods at Magnate carry the message "I hope you're a precious person." This phrase reflects Jimin's father's gratitude towards ARMYs who visit the café.

Jimin's father pays great attention to the quality of the coffee served at Magnate. The coffee is highly praised by visitors, reflecting his dedication to ensuring its exceptional taste.

Despite being the father of a global superstar, Jimin's father remains humble and warm, treating guests with kindness and care. He treasures and displays the letters and gifts from fans, welcoming ARMYs with genuine hospitality that is evident throughout the café.

Jimin's father is also known as the 'Ramen Angel' of Busan. It was later revealed that he has been donating ramen to Nam-gu, Busan, for three years. He explained, "Ramen can be a meal that fills a hungry stomach, so I consistently deliver ramen." This spirit of giving extends to Jimin, who has made continuous donations to support the dreams of young people through organizations like Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation and various educational offices in Korea.

Busan holds significant meaning for ARMYs, as it hosted the "BTS Yet To Come in Busan" concert in 2022, the last performance before the members' military enlistment. The city is also home to many BTS-related landmarks, including the murals of Jungkook and Jimin in Gamcheon Culture Village, and locations like Dadaepo, Molundae, and Oryukdo, where Jimin filmed vlogs during his early career.

If you plan to visit South Korea, make sure to include a trip to Busan, the hometown of Jimin and Jungkook. Don't miss out on visiting Jimin's father's café to create some special memories.
