BTS(방탄소년단) member Jin(진) is set to resume his activities in earnest following his discharge from military service.

Jin was officially discharged on the morning of June 12 from the 5th Infantry Division recruit training center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province, after completing his active duty in the army. To celebrate his return, all the BTS members—RM, J-Hope, V, Jungkook, and Jimin—took leave to be there for him.

With this, Jin becomes the first BTS member to complete his military service. In a Weverse live broadcast, he expressed his emotions, saying, "I’m back after 18 months. I initially didn't intend to cry, but I was so happy that I cried twice."

Jin's discharge has also caught the attention of international media. UK’s MTV stated, “The era of Jin is fully upon us,” expressing anticipation for his solo activities. Major outlets like the BBC, Reuters, and Daily Mail also highlighted his return, noting the surge in HYBE's stock price and expressing high expectations for his future endeavors.

Today (June 13), Jin will participate in the '2024 FESTA' debut anniversary event at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul. He has arranged a hug event for 1,000 fans to show his gratitude for their unwavering support during his service. Additionally, a second session will allow 4,000 fans to interact with him. For fans unable to attend in person, the second session will be live-streamed for BTS fan club members via Weverse.
