TWICE's Nayeon(트와이스 나연), dubbed the "Summer Queen," is making a highly anticipated comeback after two years with a fresh and girlish style. 

On June 13, a press conference was held at the Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Grand Ballroom in Songpa-gu, Seoul, to celebrate the release of TWICE member Nayeon's second mini-album, "NA."

During the event, Nayeon attended and expressed her excitement about her return. The music video for the title track "ABCD" was showcased, introducing the audience to her latest work. Host Shin A-young then welcomed Nayeon to the stage.

Nayeon's new album, "NA," marks her first solo release since her debut mini-album "IM NAYEON" in June 2022. Reflecting on the past two years, Nayeon shared, "I've been busy with group activities and touring, so it feels great to greet everyone again as a solo artist."

The mini-album "NA" reflects Nayeon's essence, emphasizing her unique charm with the title track "ABCD." The song features playful lyrics utilizing the alphabet to convey a confident message about teaching and seducing her type from A to Z. The track showcases Nayeon's bold and innovative approach, blending early 2000s pop diva vibes with hip-hop and modern elements.

The "ABCD" music video captures Nayeon's distinct appeal, balancing girlish and dynamic elements with a special dance break exclusive to the video. The album also includes six other tracks: "Butterflies," "Heaven" (feat. Sam Kim), "Magic" (feat. Julie of KISS OF LIFE), "HalliGalli" (Prod. by Lee Chan-hyuk of AKMU), "Something," and "Count It."

Nayeon's first solo album "POP!" achieved significant success, topping both domestic and Billboard charts. Addressing potential pressure for this release, Nayeon admitted, "It would be a lie to say there was no pressure." She added, "I was overwhelmed with the love I received last time and was worried if this album could match that. However, I want to enjoy this solo period."

For this album, Nayeon embraced a daring concept and Y2K vibe. "Since this song has an early 2000s style, I wanted to embody that era well. Though it might seem retro, I focused on making the choreography and outfits as trendy as possible," she explained. Nayeon also credited producer Park Jin-young for enhancing her understanding of the era through pop artist videos from that time.

Nayeon aims to present a more impactful image with this release compared to her previous title track "POP!" She stated, "I wanted to show a strong, cool side of myself. If the last album reflected the Nayeon people know from TWICE, this one showcases my growth and boldness."

TWICE, Nayeon's group, celebrates their 10th anniversary this year. Reflecting on the group's longevity, Nayeon said, "Ten years is a long time, and it feels unreal. A fan meeting would help us feel the milestone more." She attributed the group's success to the strong affection and dedication of all nine members and the unwavering support from their fans.

As a solo artist, Nayeon shared her goals for this comeback. "One regret from my first solo activity was not being able to celebrate a music show win with my fans. If I’m lucky enough to achieve good results this time, I hope to share the joy with them. I also hope to establish myself as an artist whose future solo activities are always anticipated."

Nayeon's second mini-album "NA" will be officially released on June 14 at 1 PM KST, which is midnight EST.
